Jia Ali is a famous Pakistani model and actress. She was born in Lahore on May 23, 1972. She wanted to become a model since her childhood. Before entering into showbiz, Jia worked as a makeup artist at a famous beauty parlor ‘Depelix. She was spotted while working at Depilex. She was offered to model for a famous clothing brand. This opportunity launched her professional career. Since then, she has been one of the most sough after models of Pakistani fashion industry.

Modeling Career

Jia Ali started her modeling career in 1991. She was merely 19 years old when she modeled for Wrangler Jeans. Her Wrangler commercial and subsequent fashion shows achieved international acclaim. She was noticed by big names in the fashion industry. Since then, she has walked on ramp for many other famous brands and fashion designers. Acting Career

After modeling for several year, Jia Ali tried her luck in acting. Nabila Maqsood introduced Jia to producer Sajjad Gul in 1997. Sajjad gave her a supporting role in movie Deewane Tere Pyar Ke. The movie gave her a decent start in her acting career. She acted in several other Lollywood movies including Nakhra Gauri Da, Dil Diwana Hai, Ghar Kab Aao Gay, Rukhsati, Soldier, Kashf : The Lifting of Veil and Love Mein Gum. Recently, Jia played a supporting role in movie Dirty Girl. Nida Chaudhry played the lead role in the movie. Her upcoming movie is Saya e Khuda e Zuljalal. The details of her character has not been made public yet.
